Good Afternoon Everyone,

ALT is placing the following restrictions for both refinance and purchase settlements for the well-being of our co-workers, closers and customers in an effort to limit the spread of COVID-19.

Purchase Closings

Buyers, Sellers and all other interested parties should notify our office immediately if they are not feeling well on the day of closing. In most cases, the buyer(s) are the only ones that physically need to attend. If the buyer(s) is not feeling well, a decision will be made as to whether we proceed with closing or whether it’s necessary to postpone closing.

We strongly suggest that sellers request a seller’s package and not attend final settlement. In the event a seller insists on signing the day of closing, our staff will schedule a time for the seller(s) to come to our office prior to the buyer(s) signing. Let’s not forget that most settlements are conducted around a table in a relatively small area. Respect for the well-being of one another should be our number one priority.

We strongly suggest that all individuals bring their own personal pen (black ink) to settlement. ALT will have pens available for those who forget.

When conducting closing, our representative will sit across the table from the buyer(s)/borrower(s) in an effort to maintain a safe “social distance.”

In an effort to limit the amount of handling of personal items, we request that both buyer(s) and Seller(s) provide us with a copy of their valid photo ID prior to closing (driver’s license or passport). IDs can be emailed to info@alttitle.com or, for the time being, sent by text to 215-808-6682. We’re working on a more permanent number moving forward.

Refinance Closings

The borrower(s) should notify our office immediately if they are not feeling well on the day of closing. If we are scheduled to conduct settlement at the borrower’s home and any member of their family is not feeling well, settlement will need to either be moved to a different location or rescheduled to a later date.

It is the responsibility of all of us to limit the exposure to this virus to one another.

Even if you consider yourself to be among the least vulnerable when it comes to contracting the Coronavirus, many of us have older loved ones who could be in serious danger if they were exposed to this virus.

Let’s all do our part to be a part of the solution.

Thank you for your business!
